Holy Land Favorites

A random grouping of favorite Holy Land photos showing the diversity of landscape, religions, culture and people. The food was fantastic! A fascinating trip where I learned on many levels. I hope I can return again one day.

  • Stone of Anointing (Stone of Unction), marks the place, according to tradition that dates back to the Crusades, that Jesus was laid out for anointing before burial. The stone is more modern (1800s). There is a sweet fragrance of oils that rises from the stone.
